Edouard Vuillard(1868-1940): Interior au Canape (1930)

Bought in Paris, this wonderful etching by the French master became my first art purchase. I like the relaxed atmosphere, the languorous figures and the suggestion of lamplight. Perhaps the woman reading is Lucy Hessel, Vuillard's mistress
