Noctes Ambrosianae Walter Sickert etching

Walter Sickert(1860-1942): Noctes Ambrosianae (c.1908)

This etching represents a view of the gallery of the Middlesex Music Hall (the Old Mo) Drury Lane. A poignant view of enraptured people crammed into the cheap seats, looking to forget their worries for a night on the town. One of Sickert's masterpieces and a milestone of 2Oth Century Printmaking.
